Graduated twice from U of H. BFA in Ceramics/Sculpture and a Masters of Art Education.
Worked my way through the last half of the bachelors and graduate school as a Starbuck's barista.

I have fulfilled my K-12 Texas Teaching certification for art at last. (2004)
2004 to 2006 - ESL teacher for a private company.

(2006) Landed a job as a middle school art teacher, in the school that I attended as an 8th grader.
It is very strange seeing a 30 year old class picture on the wall, and recognizing oneself.
Now here's hoping my students will not look that closely.

2007 = Changed jobs- still in the same school district, new school.

School and work are important components in self identification, obviously.

I grew up Unitarian (also known as Comparative Religious Studies) and am grateful.


Authors and I get along well, and illustration is a hobby of mine.
Heavy and frequent daydreaming is a habit, along with lots and lots of reading.
Escapism - it's not just a pleasure, it is a way of life.

Subject to sudden Muse attacks of the poetry related kind.
My art muse has been taking a very long vacation.

A couple of my icons are of my paternal great-grandmother, who was a strong minded and frustrated woman.
If she was alive today, she would either be running the world or a large corporation.
My default icon is by jatg, a goddess of pen and ink.

I have been looking at LiveJournal for ages, wanting to join but reluctant to take on the commitment.
2009 - 4 years later, I am glad I did.
